The Palm Beach County Surfing History Project is seeking volunteer docents and museum attendants for the Florida Surfing Museum in Lake Park, Florida.
This is a wonderful opportunity for volunteers interested in sharing the history of surfing in Florida and who also want to gain knowledge about our unique surfing culture.
The Florida Surfing Museum is operated by the non-profit Palm Beach County Surfing History Project which was founded in 2008. Our museum displays more than 100 years of surfing history in Florida and is the most comprehensive surfing museum on the U.S. East Coast.
The time commitment is flexible. Students and adults 18 and over are welcome.
No prior experience as a docent or knowledge of surfing history is required. You do NOT need to be a surfer to become a docent or volunteer.
Training classes begin in March. Class time and volunteer time qualify for Community Service hours. To be included in training class notices please forward your contact information to: firstname.lastname@example.org or call our office at 561-601-6703 or 561-236-0155.
